I have to admit, I was very excited to give it a try. It is smaller than my Blackberry Bold and is very easy to use. I wanted to make sure I knew how to use it before I took any video footage this weekend. I was able to use it as soon as I took it out of the box. It was already charged. The only thing I needed to do was correct the date settings. Once you turn it on, you press the red button to start recording, press the red button again to end the recording, and press the play button to view what you just recorded. The sound it picked up was great. The clarity of the video was really good - I didn't notice any graininess. To upload the video, you flip out the USB plug that is integrated into the camera and plug it into the USB port of your computer. It will detect if the Flip software has not been installed on your computer yet and will give you the option to do so. The software load is fairly quick and easy to maneuver once it's loaded. I was really surprised at how quickly you can upload your video and the option it has for you to e-mail it to someone or share it on your own Flip channel right there. You can also create a video greeting card, movie, or capture a frame for a snapshot. There's also an option for you to burn the video to DVD. The Flip Mino I have is the one that takes up to 60 minutes and so far I have not had any problems with the capacity or battery life.
The Flip is offering a $10 off when you use the code FLIP10 to purchase a Flip Camcorder on theflip.com. They are also offering free shipping right now.
