Build-a-Bear Workshop - Camp Happy Heart on Buildabearville.com

Every kid loves summer camp, but it does not always fit into the schedule.

Right now at Buildabearville.com your kids can join 600,000 other kids from around the world in the third annul Camp Happy Heart.

At Camp Happy Heart your children are able to join one of four ice-cream themed teams to compete against other teams for virtual prizes.

Joining Buildabearville is free and so is Camp Happy Heart, all you need to do is visit the floating cabin at the foot of the towns waterfall. There your child will be assigned an ice-cream team and introduced to an ice-cream camp counselor who will lead the kids to the daily activates like roasting marshmallows, fishing, storytelling and jump rope.

At the end of camp each camper will get a poster for their cub condo. The campers will the most points will be awarded the 2010 Happy Heart trophy, interactive camp fire and a bunk bed for their cub condo.

Lincoln Park Zoo - LEGO Games Tour 7/31-8/1

The LEGO Games Tour will be coming to Chicago on July 31st and August 1st at the Lincoln Park Zoo from 10 AM to 6:30 PM. At the tour, you'll see all ten new LEGO games, build the robot and be the robot. You'll also walk through the labyrinth, avoiding the Minotaur. You can also play games against other families for a chance to win cool stuff. Guess the number of bricks in the evil Minotaur model for a chance to win a trip to LEGOland Park in California and much more!

Summerfest - Free Admission Until 3 PM TODAY!

As a special thank-you to their community, fans, fest-goers, military personnel and sponsors, everyone entering Summerfest before 3 PM TODAY will get FREE admission!

Today is the last day for Summerfest 2010 and it will be open until midnight. The World's Largest Music Festival and Milwaukee's cornerstone summer celebration attracts the music industry's hottest stars, emerging talent and local favorites. The Marcus Amphitheater and 10 additional stages, along with a diverse selection of food and beverage vendors, marketplaces and interactive exhibits, are set against the Lake Michigan and downtown backdrops, creating a festival experience like no other. redbox - Free Rental TODAY!

To celebrate the first day of summer, visit redbox's Facebook page today and "like" them to receive a code for a free rental valid TODAY only! Once you "like" their page, click on "Fan Freebie," enter your e-mail address, and then you will be given a unique code to use at any redbox kiosk.

To use your code at a redbox kiosk, click on "Rent with Promo Code." It will ask you to enter the code, then you will be able to select a movie, and after you add it to cart, it will show the rental charge deducted before you checkout.

Be sure to return your rental to any redbox kiosk by 9 PM tomorrow night so you won't be charged for your movie rental. If you choose to keep it for extra days, you will just be charged for the additional days.

Also, don't forget sign up for redbox's Monthly Movie Mondays free text codes.

Wilton - Tent Sale 6/4-6/22

One of my favorite events starts today! Wilton is having their annual tent sale in Woodridge, IL starting today at 4:30 PM to 8 PM. Then, they will be open from 9 AM to 8 PM during the weekdays and 8 AM to 8 PM during the weekends, through June 22nd. You can find so many different products, including party and food crafting, housewares, scrapbooking and paper crafting, and many gift items all at up to 75% off!  I love to stock up on my party goods (including candles and decorations) during this sale!  If you know anyone who is getting married, this is a perfect place for them to be - they can find everything from party favors to cake toppers to toasting glasses here.

There will also be great demonstrations of Wilton products and techniques that will be offered by The Wilton School. All demonstrations are from 11 am - 2 pm.

What is Camp Sunshine?

Founded in 1984, Camp Sunshine is a year-round retreat, which provides respite, support, joy and hope to children with life-threatening illnesses and their immediate families through various stages of a child's illness. The camp is free of charge to all families, and includes 24-hour onsite medical and psychosocial support. Bereavement groups are also offered for families who have lost a child to an illness. Camp Sunshine is nestled in the tranquil natural beauty of Sebago Lake, Maine adjacent to Point Sebago Resort. The Field Museum - Sue's 10th Anniversary Opening Weekend 5/29-5/31

Are you looking for something fun and educational to do with the family this summer? This summer from May 26th through September 6th, The Field Museum in Chicago, IL, will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the unveiling of SUE, the world’s largest and most complete T. rex, by featuring a package of dinosaur activities for the whole family.

They include:
· RoboSUE: The T. rex Experience, a journey back to prehistoric times where visitors will encounter a super-realistic robotic SUE who responds to humans by looking directly at them and reacting to their movements.
· A new 3-D movie titled Waking the T. rex: The Story of SUE, featuring exciting scenes of dinosaurs and updates on what researchers have learned about SUE. The amazing 3-D images are sure to add a new "dimension" to visitors' knowledge of paleontology!

Opening weekend activities (May 29 – May 31) include appearances by Sue Hendrickson, the fossil hunter who found The Field Museum’s T. rex. She will sign autographs and answer questions.

The Field Museum acquired SUE in 1997 and spent over two years cleaning and preparing her bones for exhibition. In May, 2000, the unveiling of the complete skeleton made headlines around the world. Since then over 16 million visitors have seen SUE at The Field Museum and over 6 million have seen a traveling exhibition of her full-sized cast model. RoboSUE and the new 3-D movie are the Museum’s latest efforts to provide a fun, learning experience about SUE – a true Chicago icon. Tickets to RoboSUE and Waking the T. rex are included in the All-Access pass.
